About Theology Central
Theology Central exists as a place of conversation and information for faculty and friends of Central Baptist Theological Seminary. Posts include seminary news, information, and essays more closely related to opinion-editorial pieces about ministry, theology, and scholarship.
Those who post here express their own opinions, and these do not necessarily represent the official position of the seminary or its board. Further, links on our pages should not be construed as unqualified endorsement of any individual or organization. Hello Friends, I hope you will consider running or linking to our material at https://dispensationalpublishing.com/
Actually from LDS.org Brigham Young supposedly spoke in tongues to Joseph Smith when he first met him in 1832. They don’t say where he picked it up. “One of the spiritual gifts that President Young experienced at various times was speaking in tongues. On the day when he first met the Prophet Joseph in November 1832, the new convert surprised the group he was with by speaking in tongues. Joseph Smith proclaimed that Brother Brigham spoke the language of Adam on that occasion.” History of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1:296–97; Manuscript History of Brigham Young, September 1832.
I appreciate that the Theology Central website has been revived. There are a lot of helpful resources I am being directed to from the links in the posts. However, the links do not open in new tabs. There are several advantages in linking to other sources that way, one of which is that it encourages readers to come back to your website after reading the linked material.
