A Ministry Worth Considering

March 26, 2009

Today in chapel we had Patrick Doney, Lieutenant Commander, USN, Ret. representing Associated Gospel Churches, a chaplain-endorsing agency. He showed a DVD presentation on what may be one of the great mission fields left unevangelized–the American military. Military chaplains go wherever our troops are deployed and enter into harm’s way when the units do the same. It’s not a ministry for the faint of heart, but it’s definitely one worth considering. He spoke to our students with a heart of passion. It was a blessing to hear him challenge the men about this great need. I hope some of our men answer the call!
